MISAJE CPDM Militants Exhorted To Be United

Militants of the ruling CPDM party in Misaje Sub-Division of Donga Mantung Division have been exhorted to be more united. The request was made by H.E Dr. Fuh Gentry Calistus, Secretary of State for Mines and Technological Development at Dumbu, January 22, 2010 during aceremony to recognize Mr. Mgbata Sammy, the new Section President. The Minister told the multitude who turn out to listen to him that unity amongst the CPDM militants in Misaje Sub-Division was primordial in order to consolidate the progress made so far. The two main candidates who contested for the post of section President which was eventually won by Mr. Mgbata Sammy embraced each other as a sign of unity for the interest of the party.

The Minister, quoting that Misaje has only one party, recalled that they worked very hard to recover Misaje from the hands of the SDF and consequently, all efforts should be geared towards making CPDM stronger in the area. Such efforts as Minister Calistus asserted, could be proven by continuous victories for the party in that Sub-Division. He enlisted a series of projects like electricity, water and road networks under execution. He wondered aloud what the opposition shall use again as campaign weapons when all the envisaged projects would be realized.

The Mayor of Misaje Council, Mr. Nkenda Simon, welcoming the minister and his entourage thanked the population for patience exercised waiting for the Minister. The Section President, Mr. Mgbata Sammy averred that the election of December 17, 2009 was a normal democratic practice. The election results proved that the CPDM militants had confidence and love for him. The confidence and love for him as the president should be proven through landslide victories for CPDM in future elections.

The follow-up meeting on January 23 announced the party’s historic section conference slated for March 20, 2010 in Misaje. Prior to the Dumbu – Misaje meetings Minister Calistus had a meeting, at the Nkambe community Hall to plan for President Paul Biya’s visit to North West in 2010.
