Suspended SDF MP Calls for Reconciliation
SDF Member of Parliament for the Mifi in the West Region, Hon Serge Simeon Noumba who was slammed with an indefinite suspension during the last National Executive Committee meeting of the party alongside others for indiscipline, says the Social Democratic Front urgently needs to organise a general meeting of reconciliation with all those who were ‘illegally’ expelled from the party by the famous article 8.2. He made this call to the Yaounde Bureau Chief of The SUN Newspaper in an exclusive interview to highlight public opinion on what is commonly referred to as the SDF versus NOUMBA Serge crisis that has been pending final judgment by NEC for over six months.
Hon Noumba started by saying that “I want social justice to prevail in the SDF. Let also the slogan power to the people be a reality. A group of individuals has destroyed our party with what they claim to be discipline. Because of the famous article 8.2 SDF has expelled key militants such as Tazoacha Asonganyi, Bernard Muna, Ngawsiri etc”.
Replying to a question whether he has received money from the CPDM to destabilize the SDF, the MP blurted out by saying that “I hereby challenge whosoever is nursing such claims to prove the accusation. If I really had evil intentions, I could have resigned knowing fully well that by so doing, I could break my party and its Parliamentary Group. As for the vision I have for the SDF today, I can say I m getting set to lead our party into change which we all know Fru Ndi launched in the 90s and due to the weight of age can not continue today. Cameroon needs the youth to bring the long awaited change because NEC leaders are all of the older generation. I know all the problems I am facing in the SDF today is because I dared to indicate my intention to run as candidate for the party in the upcoming presidential election”.
